Characteristics and applications of nonwovens for cables

Cable non-woven fabrics are plain non-woven fabrics, light non-woven fabrics, thin non-woven fabrics, white in color, suitable for rubber sheathed cables, power cables, special cables, communication cables, etc. Cable non-woven fabrics are thin in thickness, light in weight, low in cost, and flexible, suitable for various wire and cable wrapping.
1、 Features of cable non-woven fabric
Cable non-woven fabric has good tensile strength, good air permeability, good elongation, water absorption speed can reach 0, high temperature resistance, and smooth surface after cabling. Environmental protection, free of heavy metal harmful substances, halogen-free. Cable non-woven fabric can withstand 180 degrees of instant temperature without melting and deformation. Cable non-woven fabric has good corrosion resistance and sulfuration resistance.
Non-woven fabrics have the characteristics of uniform and flat cloth surface, small thickness deviation, high tensile strength, and clean appearance. Because the cable wrapping tape has the main characteristics of light weight, high breaking strength, good elongation and small shrinkage, and the polyester non-woven fabric is suitable for rubber sheathed cables, power cables, special cables, communication cables, coaxial cables, audio stage cables and optical cables, and has become the conventional wrapping material of the world cable industry.
2、 Use of cable non-woven fabric
According to the characteristics of aging resistance and high temperature resistance of cable nonwovens, they are widely used in home textiles, composite materials, luggage materials, etc. Non-woven fabrics can be used as cable coating materials with high strength and high temperature resistance (can be used in 150 ℃ environment for a long time). It is mainly used for wall insulation and sound insulation, wall base waterproofing, pipe protection, underground drainage and preventing tree root growth from damaging buildings and other purposes in building materials.
At present, the main products produced by the domestic production line include geotextile, engineering anti-seepage material, building waterproof material, composite reinforcement material, automobile cloth, cushioning material, chemical film for shoes, etc. With the continuous and in-depth development of China's economic construction, non-woven fabrics have an optimistic development prospect.
Other uses: power cable, rubber sleeve cable, control cable, marine cable, mining cable, communication optical cable, locomotive cable, nuclear cable, welding machine cable, high-grade flexible cable for computer air conditioning, etc. In addition, there are halogen-free flame-retardant non-woven fabrics for cables.
